A Bit About Myself

What to say without sounding like way too pretentious?
Ah, screw it, I’ll say it anyway…

All the stuff I’ve been doing over the last 15 years or so I consider to be art forms. Yes, I do mean everything.

I’ve never seen the divide between design and art, or programming and art. All are about function and form.
Technical and aesthetical. Probably the most abstract form of this is coding. When the appreciation of language and concepts of coding are understood, I would argue that it is one of the best and purest forms of art there is.

I believe that there is great beauty in simplicity, and if one chosen medium does not communicate what you meant, then use one which does.

As you can probably tell, I went to Art School (Glasgow School of Art).
Though I had to admit that by the time I had got there, I had already pretty much learnt how to draw, was fairly mature in the way I took my photography and could’ve done without all the philsophy of art crap they taught. So why go? The main lesson taught has been most prevalent in my life: you’ve got practically nothing and can still create.
